Anton Eriksson, baritone, has a beautiful, warm and dark timbre, very good range and a strong stage presence.

Anton graduated from the University College of Opera in Stockholm 2007. In 2010-2013 he was engaged as ensemble soloist at the Royal Swedish Opera where he sang roles like Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus), Schaunard (La Bohème), Angelotti (Tosca), Silvano (Un Ballo in Maschera), Dancaire (Carmen), Marullo (Rigoletto), A Mandarin (Turandot) among others.

 

Anton has now more than thirty different roles on his repertoire, among them Marcello in La Bohème, Ping in Turandot, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera, Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor and Zurga in Les Pecheurs de Perles.

 

A special and very successful production was Phillip Glass Satyagraha at Folkoperan in Stockholm. Mr Eriksson did  Arjuna and Mr Kallenbach and the production has since been on several guest appearances on different places in the world.

 

The coming season of 2019/2020 Anton will sing Peter Besenbinder in Hänsel und Gretel at Norrlandsoperan in Umeå (Sweden) and Angelotti in Tosca at Malmö Opera

 

Mr Erikssons concertrepertoire includes works as St John Passion, Christmas Oratorio and Mass in B minor by J S Bach, The Messiah, Saul and Judas Maccabaeus by Handel, Requiem by Mozart, Brahms, Lindberg and Fauré, Passio by Arvo Pärt, Messa di Gloria by Puccini, Die Schöpfung by Haydn, St John Passion by Bob Chilcott and God in Disguise by L-E Larsson.
